35′ O’Day35

Description

1988 O’Day35, a 35’ fully upgraded cruising sailboat with fin keel and spade rudder for good sailing speed and performance. Repowered in 2019 with a new Beta 25 HP engine with attached marine water heater. Recently installed  instrumentation with 2 Garmin GPS units – helm (2020)  and tethered GPS (2024) for use in cockpit and nav station; Raymarine depth and wind instruments (2020);  Raymarine autopilot (2021) and new wheel drive (2025); and Garmin radar (2020).  New sanitation/toilet/holding tank/Macerator pump/plumbing installation (2022).  Bimini replaced in 2018, and the dodger in 2022, with excellent sun shading in the cockpit and clear visibility through the dodger’s windows.  Sails in good shape, new mainsail (2020) and repaired genoa. New Furlex roller furler (2017) that works well.  Swim platform with a ladder at the stern ideal for getting in and out of dinghy or Zodiac.  Interior is warm and comfortable, with beautifully made high grade Sunbrella cushions in excellent shape and don’t stain, with the boat able to sleep 2, 3, or 4.  A fully functional galley with two burner propane stove and oven, two ice chests, new sink faucet (2022), and running water that works well in the galley and head (new water pump, 2019) off two 25 gallon water tanks. Head is good sized, with the new toilet pumping/Macerator system working very well, with a new faucet in the sink (2022).  Two new heavy duty marine batteries (2019) are working well, and there is LED lighting throughout boat (2020 and 2022).  All halyards, sheets, and lines replaced over the past 5 years.  Boat sails very well, often in the 6.5-8 mph range in a reasonable wind, and generally motors around 7-8 mph. For the money, you won’t find a better boat that’s ready for cruising now, with all major systems upgraded.
