Vanguard Nomad 17′ Asymmetrical Spinnaker Daysailer Sailboat

1
$5,250.00

Two owner 2004 Vanguard Nomad daysailer with grey fiberglass hull, white deck and Karavan single axle trailer. Neither ever saw salt water - just used in lakes in North Carolina and then in NW Connecticut. 17' Length 8' Beam 4.5' Draft This boat is super flexible with a large cockpit (room for 4-6 ) and the ability to cruise around leisurely, or to sail/race really really fast. The boat is 100% complete and ready to sail. It has a roller furling jib and bowsprit making downwind spinnaker sailing much more accessible and fun. Lots of spare parts, etc. I have the old mylar (plastic) sails that came with it but they are pretty beat up. The Dacron sails have been used less than 10 times. I have a bunch of documentation and parts listings available as well, which I've collected over time. Swing keel extends down for lots of stability. At the same time you can easily raise the keel and beach the boat. Dry sailed - never left in the water so It has no bottom paint. Lots of folks have painted theirs which you'd want to do if you want to leave it on a mooring/in the water. Quick to rig - only takes about an hour when familiar - can be rigged by one person. Lots of storage under 4 lazarets. Self bailing. Boat has been sailed a few times each year and all regular maintenance is up to date including many new lines and a brand new set of Dacron North sails (Main and Jib). The spinnaker is in near perfect condition and has been flown a handful of times (delightfully). Trailer is in fine shape - I've used it to take the boat around and have kept up with any/all maintenance. I have the bill of sale for both the boat and the trailer and both are currently registered for 2024-2025 season. I don't have a cover but they can be purchased new or used online as they are still being made. I'm not including the motor but I do have a brand new 2.3 HP long-shaft Honda with a cover that can be added on (negotiated separately). Note - I did use pictures from the person that I bought the boat from so please excuse any confusion about references to North Carolina. The boat is in NW Connecticut near Bantam Lake. The boat is cleaner and in better shape compare to when I bought it.
